MORE GOOD NEWS!! Moira Roth sent me some poems about ME!! (We were emailing
each other in rapid fashion)!
I'm going to put them below:
Poem 1:
Michael twirled around
darting here and there
dapper, as always
alert, as always
curious, as always
he was, indeed, quite a guy,
she thought to herself
as she too,
darted around, here and there,
into her email and out,
making herself always return to work
on her hopefully glamorous offbeat presentation about Linda Nochlin
for next month in a large ballroom in the NY Hilton....
Poem 2:
and here she was,
back again, peeking into her email
(while grandly musing on the Aby Warburg, that strange eccentric figure
in art history, together wuth speculating about the nature of history and
time--for her talk on Linda Nochlin in New York was entitled "Aby
Warburg, Writing and Time")
and so was he
dapper and brilliant as always
caustic too, but secretly sweet
yes, definitely secretly sweet despite his mocking exterior
Poem 3:
http://people.mills.edu/mbeller/
he looked quite saintly here
an image from january 19
reflective
slightly broody
someone who needed a holiday in europe
on a slow boat...
the finest of food and drink
and a month in paris
perhaps in an artist's attic
and certainly with regular visits to a charming cafe
Poem 4:
he strode up to the Eiffel Tower
how's tricks, he demanded
the Tower shrugged
silence
well, if you have nothing to say,
Michael snarled,
I'll be off to the Louvre
and off he went, slightly pouting
as he hailed a cab
"take me to the Louvre," he requested
and the cab driver did....
there he was greeted effusively by the Mona Lisa
and everyone around wondered
exactly who this man was
who was on such terms with HER
