Including music from Bach to Bielawa,
Dr. Soderlund's program was a fitting opening to the convention - intense, musical, and well played.
The American Organist
Soderlund has more than technique to squander. She has sensible musical ideas and knows how to implement them not only within the framework
of a piece but also within the broader outline
of a recital.
Santa Fe New Mexican
Never pedantic, she made spontaneous and vital music…delivered with both flexibility
and panache as demanded.

Sandra Soderlund is known primarily an organist but also performs on harpsichord and both modern and early piano. Although an acknowledged authority on the performance of early keyboard music, she has a keen interest in contemporary music and has given numerous premieres, as in the program Bach to What's New. Most of her recital programs are eclectic, featuring works of many periods, tied together by a common theme, like Variations on a Theme or The Suite.
Soderlund's harpsichord recitals often include music of the twentieth century along with Renaissance and Baroque music, such as The Harpsichord, Yesterday and Today.
