If the straight line is rotated counter clockwise across the matrix using the lower left corner as an axis, it is possible to travel through all possible angles (0-79 degrees) and all possible tape lengths (0-100 units).

The horizontal lengths may be calculated using the tangent function:

tangent = opposite side / adjacent side

The horizontal lengths created by the intersection of straight line and matrix are not proportional to the size of the angle of intersection. To illustrate this point, lines have been drawn which divide the 100 units into 4 equal sections. The angles between these lines are visibly unequal.
